Showers or thundershowers are expected at a few places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m. These isolated afternoon showers may bring brief periods of rain, occasionally accompanied by lightning and temporary strong winds.
For the rest of the island, mainly dry weather conditions will prevail throughout the day, providing generally stable and sunny conditions in most areas. However, misty conditions are likely during the early hours of the morning in parts of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, along with Galle and Matara districts. Reduced visibility during these hours may affect motorists, so caution is advised.
The general public is kindly requested to take necessary precautions to minimize potential damages caused by lightning and gusty winds during thundershowers.
