Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at several places in the Western, Southern, Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces after 2.00 p.m. Similar weather conditions are also likely in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts. These afternoon showers may be accompanied by temporary localized strong winds and lightning.
In contrast, most other parts of the island will experience mainly dry and stable weather conditions throughout the day. However, misty conditions can be expected during the early morning hours in several areas, including the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara and Kurunegala districts. Motorists are advised to exercise caution due to possible reduced visibility during these hours.

Showers or thundershowers may occur in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle during the evening or night. Winds will be north-easterly or variable in direction, with speeds of 20–30 kmph. Sea conditions around the island will be slight, but temporarily strong gusty winds and rough seas may occur during thundershowers.
