Isolated Showers with Mostly Fair Conditions

The Department of Meteorology forecasts generally fair weather across much of Sri Lanka today, with isolated showers and occasional thundershowers expected in selected regions.
A few showers may occur in the Central, Uva, and Eastern Provinces, along with the Polonnaruwa district. Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers may develop at a few locations in the Southern Province and in the Kalutara and Ratnapura districts, particularly after 2.00 p.m.
Most other areas of the island are expected to experience mainly fair weather throughout the day.
In addition, misty conditions may occur during the early morning hours in parts of the Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces, as well as in Kalutara, Badulla, Galle, and Matara districts, which may reduce visibility for commuters.
Residents are advised to remain alert to localized weather changes and exercise caution during morning travel.
