Isolated Showers with Mostly Fair Conditions

The Department of Meteorology forecasts generally fair weather across much of Sri Lanka today, with isolated showers and occasional thundershowers expected in selected areas.
A few showers may occur in the Uva and Eastern Provinces and in the Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Polonnaruwa, and Hambantota districts. Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers may develop at a few locations in the Ratnapura, Galle, Matara, and Kalutara districts, particularly after 2.00 p.m.
Most other parts of the island are expected to experience mainly fair weather throughout the day.
In addition, misty conditions may be present during the early morning hours in parts of the Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces, as well as in Colombo, Kalutara, Badulla, Galle, and Matara districts, which could reduce visibility for commuters.
Residents are advised to remain alert to localized weather changes and exercise caution during morning travel.
