Sri Lanka General Weather Forecast: Isolated Showers and Mostly Fair Conditions Over Next 36 Hours

The Department of Meteorology forecasts generally fair weather conditions across most parts of Sri Lanka during the next 36 hours, with isolated showers and occasional thundershowers expected in selected areas.
A few showers may occur in the Central, Uva, and Eastern Provinces, along with the Polonnaruwa district. In addition, showers or thundershowers may develop at a few locations in the Southern Province and in the Kalutara and Ratnapura districts, particularly after 2.00 p.m.
Most other parts of the island are expected to experience mainly fair weather during this period.
Furthermore, misty conditions may occur during the early morning hours in parts of the Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces, as well as in Kalutara, Badulla, Galle, and Matara districts, which may reduce visibility for road users.
The public is advised to exercise caution during morning travel and remain alert to localized weather changes.
