According to the latest forecast issued by the Department of Meteorology Sri Lanka, these conditions will mainly affect the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, along with the districts of Galle, Matara, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Puttalam. Residents in these areas should be prepared for afternoon or evening rainfall, with occasional lightning and gusty winds.
Meanwhile, the rest of the island will experience mainly fair weather conditions, making it suitable for outdoor activities in those regions. However, early morning misty conditions are likely in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, and North-Central provinces, as well as in Galle, Matara, and Kurunegala districts. Motorists are advised to drive cautiously due to reduced visibility during these hours.
The general public is kindly advised to take necessary precautions to minimize potential damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers or thundershowers may occur in sea areas from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota. Winds will be south-easterly or variable, with speeds of 20–30 kmph. Sea conditions around the island will be slight, although temporarily strong winds and rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
