Showers or thundershowers are expected at a few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces, as well as in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts after 2.00 p.m. These localized showers may bring temporary strong winds and lightning, and the public is advised to take necessary precautions to avoid possible damages.
Meanwhile, mainly dry weather will prevail across most other parts of the island, providing generally stable conditions during the day. However, misty conditions can be expected in the early morning hours in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, along with the Ampara district. Reduced visibility during these hours may affect motorists.
Due to the apparent northward movement of the sun, it will be directly overhead Sri Lanka between April 5 and 15. On April 10, areas such as Nagawilluwa, Galgamuwa, Sigiriya, Palugasdamana and Mankerni will experience the sun directly overhead around 12:11 noon.

Showers or thundershowers are likely in sea areas from Chilaw to Hambantota via Colombo, Galle and Matara. Winds will be south-westerly or variable at 20–30 kmph, increasing up to 40 kmph at times. Sea conditions may be fairly rough in southern coastal areas, while remaining slight elsewhere.
