Mainly dry and warm weather is expected to prevail across most parts of Sri Lanka today, bringing stable atmospheric conditions to the island. However, a few areas may experience isolated showers or thundershowers later in the day. According to the forecast, these conditions are most likely to occur after 2.00 p.m. in the districts of Rathnapura, Kalutara, Galle, and Matara.
Despite the generally dry weather, misty conditions can be expected during the early hours of the morning in several regions. These include parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, as well as the Galle and Matara districts. Reduced visibility may affect motorists during these early hours, so caution is advised when traveling.
The public is kindly requested to take necessary precautions during thundershowers, as temporary localized strong winds and lightning may occur in affected areas.

Sea Areas Forecast (Next 24 Hours)
A few showers or thundershowers may develop in the sea areas off the coast from Kalutara to Matara via Galle during the evening or night. Elsewhere, mainly fair weather will prevail. Winds will be variable in direction with speeds of 20–30 kmph, and sea conditions around the island are expected to remain slight. However, brief gusty winds and rough seas may occur during thundershowers.
