Showers or thundershowers are expected at a few places in the Sabaragamuwa Province and in the districts of Galle, Matara, Kalutara, and Nuwara Eliya after 2.00 p.m. These localized showers may bring brief periods of rain, sometimes accompanied by lightning and gusty winds. Therefore, the public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize any potential damage during these thundershowers.
For the rest of the island, mainly dry weather conditions are expected to prevail throughout the day, providing generally stable weather in most regions.
During the early morning hours, misty conditions can be expected in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central, and Uva provinces, as well as in Galle and Matara districts. Reduced visibility due to mist may affect road travel, so motorists are urged to drive with caution.
