Showers or thundershowers are likely to occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces, as well as in the Nuwara Eliya district after 1.00 p.m. These afternoon showers may bring brief periods of heavy rain along with lightning and strong gusty winds. The public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize potential damages caused by such weather conditions.

Elsewhere across the island, mainly dry weather will prevail, creating generally stable conditions throughout the day.

Misty conditions can be expected during the early hours of the morning in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kalutara and Kurunegala districts. Motorists are urged to be cautious due to reduced visibility in these areas.
