Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m. These afternoon showers may be accompanied by temporary localized strong winds and lightning. The public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize possible damages during thundershowers.
A few showers may also occur in the Eastern Province and in the Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts. Meanwhile, mainly fair weather will prevail in most other parts of the island throughout the day.
Misty conditions are likely during the early morning hours in some areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts. Motorists are advised to drive carefully due to reduced visibility caused by early morning mist.

Showers or thundershowers may occur in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle during the evening or night. Winds will be easterly to northeasterly with speeds of 20–30 kmph. Sea conditions around the island will be slight, though temporarily strong gusty winds and rough seas can occur during thundershowers.
