SRI LANKA WEATHER FORECAST FOR TOMORROW,29 APRIL 2026

Showers or thundershowers are expected to affect most parts of Sri Lanka after 1.00 p.m. on 29 April 2026, bringing unsettled weather conditions across the island. According to the forecast, afternoon and evening rainfall will be widespread, with the possibility of fairly heavy falls exceeding 50 mm at some locations.

The Sabaragamuwa, Northern and North-Central provinces, along with the Trincomalee district, are particularly likely to experience these heavier showers. Meanwhile, a few showers may occur in parts of the Southern Province during the morning hours, indicating that some areas could see rain throughout the day.

Misty conditions are also expected during the early morning in several regions, including the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central and Uva provinces, as well as in the Kurunegala district. Reduced visibility may affect motorists, especially in elevated and inland areas.

The public is advised to remain cautious, as thundershowers may be accompanied by temporary localized strong winds and lightning. Necessary precautions should be taken to minimize potential damage and ensure personal safety.
