The dry weather conditions currently affecting most parts of Sri Lanka are expected to gradually change from 02 April. However, warm weather conditions will continue to prevail across the island, keeping daytime temperatures relatively high.
For today, mainly dry weather is expected in many areas. However, showers or thundershowers may develop at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Southern provinces during the evening or night. These showers could bring brief heavy rainfall along with temporary strong winds and lightning. The public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize possible damages.
Misty conditions can be expected during the early morning hours in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, and North-Central provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts. Reduced visibility may affect motorists during these hours.

Sea Areas Forecast (Next 24 Hours)
In sea areas around the island, mainly fair weather will prevail. Winds will be variable at 20–30 kmph, and the sea condition is expected to remain slight.
