Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at several places across parts of Sri Lanka, particularly in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Uva provinces after 1.00 p.m. Rainfall is also likely in the districts of Kandy and Nuwara Eliya during the afternoon and evening hours. These thundershowers may be accompanied by temporary localized strong winds and lightning, and the public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize possible damages.
Meanwhile, mainly dry weather will prevail over most other areas of the island, bringing relatively stable conditions outside the affected regions. During the early hours of the morning, misty conditions can be expected in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, and Kurunegala districts. Motorists are advised to exercise caution due to reduced visibility in these areas.

Sea Areas Forecast (Next 24 Hours)
A few showers or thundershowers are likely in the sea areas extending from Colombo to Hambantota via Galle and Matara. Winds will be south-westerly or variable in direction, with speeds ranging from 20–30 kmph. The sea condition around the island will be generally slight. However, temporarily strong gusty winds and rough seas may occur during thundershowers, and fishermen are advised to remain vigilant.
