Showers or thundershowers are expected at several places across Sri Lanka after 2.00 p.m., particularly in the Northern, Eastern, North-central, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts. These evening showers may be accompanied by lightning and temporary strong winds, and the public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize potential damages.
Misty conditions can be expected during the early morning hours in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in the Ampara district, which may reduce visibility for motorists.
Additionally, due to the apparent northward movement of the sun, it will be directly overhead over parts of Sri Lanka during this period. On April 6, areas such as Beruwala, Rakwana and Udawalawe will experience near overhead sun around midday, leading to higher daytime heat.

Showers or thundershowers are likely in sea areas from Mannar to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle and Hambantota. Winds will be south-westerly or variable at 20–30 kmph, increasing up to 40–45 kmph at times. Sea conditions may be fairly rough in some areas, especially during thundershowers.
