# SRI LANKA WEATHER FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, 01 NOVEMBER 2026

# Afternoon Showers and Strong Winds Expected

Sri Lanka is expected to experience showers and thundershowers across several provinces
on 01 November 2026.

Showers or thundershowers are likely at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa,
Central, Uva and Southern provinces, as well as in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts
after 1.00 p.m. Meanwhile, mainly fair weather conditions are expected to prevail
across other parts of the island.

Misty conditions can be expected during the early morning hours in some areas of
the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces, along with the Kurunegala 
and Anuradhapura districts. Motorists are advised to exercise caution due to reduced
visibility.

The public is requested to take adequate precautions against temporary localized
strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

### Sea Areas Forecast Around Sri Lanka

Showers or thundershowers are expected at several places in the sea areas around
the island during the next 24 hours. Winds will be northeasterly in the sea areas
extending from Kankasanthurai to Pottuvil via Batticaloa, while southwesterly or
variable winds are expected in other sea areas. Wind speeds will range between 25
and 35 kmph.

Sea conditions around the island will be moderate. However, temporarily strong gusty
winds reaching 60–70 kmph and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
Naval and fishing communities are advised to remain cautious when engaging in sea
activities.
